Hi, I decided to give Vuescan a peek ... I got a Canon, and I use ScanGear-
-software that came with it, and it's got a bug where it crashes basically
every 3rd or so scan (some Kernel32 error) ... I wrote Canon many times
about it (email) and they never answered, (plus I had to endure their
confusing automated submit form, no email address to be seen--but that's
another story). Till finally they answered after many times, cuz I told em
I'd keep writing till they replied ... and they said 'Ask Microsoft'
So they weren't gonna help ...
Anywayz, first thing I notice on Vuescan is the histogram has no mid-point?
Am I missing something?? There's a white point, and a black point, as
triangles, but no third one, in the middle. I normally use that mid-point
to give scans a flush of more color ... in ScanGear I use it all the time.
So I figure it must be around somewhere in Vuescan and I just don't see it?
