I'm back scanning after a few months off. I'm currently running
version 7.6.75 of Vuescan and am a new user of Photoshop (CS),
along with a new Canon 10d, shooting raw images.
I finally have a handle (I think) on how to deal with Color Management
in Photoshop and am now seeing how to use Photoshop with
Vuescan & my Epson 3200. I have two situations that I need help with.
Issue #1 has to do with a bunch of images in which were scanned
with a basic non-color managed setup. Basically:
Scanner color space - Built-in
Film color space - Built-in
Output color space - sRGB
Monitor color space - sRGB
Issue #2 has to do with new scans with an attempt to use
color management with the setup:
Scanner color space - Built-in
Film color space - Built-in
Output color space - Adobe RGB
Monitor color space - ICC profile (set to the .icm file from AdobeGamma)
In both cases when I look at the metadata from Photoshop there's
no indication of a color profile. Why is this?
How do I handle the files in Photoshop? Do I just set the profile
with "Image / Mode / Assign Profile"?
Thanks
