I just purchased this multifunction printer and I see that it is
support by Vuescan. When I use Vuescan to scan something it looks as
if it seperates whatever is being scanned into red, green and blue. I
see everything in the preview window in triplicate. Does anybody know
how to set up this multifunction printer so Vuescan uses it correctly?

First, try deleting the INI file to reset the program (that's
equivalent to re-installing) and see if that makes any difference.

Failing that, it's probably a bug, so try a different program version
(or several!) and see if that makes any difference.

On balance, it's probably just another Vuescan bug. Vuescan is
notoriously buggy and there was a version recently which showed double
images (see below).

Of course, the device may not be supported in spite of the claims.
That has also happened many times before as Vuescan tends to boast.

BTW, why do you want to use Vuescan with a multifunction device? I
mean, they usually come with software which integrates all of the
various functions so even if you do make Vuescan work with it you will
only be able to use a very small subset of the device's capabilities.

Don.

Thanks for the advice. I'm on vacation now, but I will give it a try
when I get back home.

Mainly only to look at how it scans pictures. That way I can make a
profile and use it more effectivly to do that. I can't see at this
point how to apply a profile to the Canon software, but I haven't had a
chance to look totally under the hood.

Thanks again.
