Ed Hamrick recently told me in a reply email, not to go higher than
the hardware resolution. I suppose this would mean that it does not
interpolate to up-size images as an end result of scanning. Is this
true, or does it?
The Umax Powerlook III' "MagickScan" software will interpolate up
to 9600 PPI but it's base hardware resolution is 1200 PPI X 2400
lines of those pixels.
With a 6x7 cm negative and output of 11x14 inches print, 1200 PPI
adds up to 246 PPI final. Wouldn't mind if the result was 400 PPI,
which is why I ask if Vuescan interpolates. Any knowledge?
