Hi,

I just downloaded and installed the new .78 version of vuescan for
Linux, because Vuescans webpage says that a special version is available
(from version .77) for Linux Red Hat 9, which I run. This sounds great!
Now the bad thing:
Vuescan does not find any scanner any more. However, the file
/proc/bus/usb/devices however, reveals that I have 2 scanners attached
to the usbscanner module! Everything workes fine with the .76 version.
What has happened?

Exactly the same problem with a Debian SID and an Epson 2400.
Everything workes fine with the .76 version, and my scanner not detect
with .78...

HI,

i have the same problem as you, but I have the LS-50 ED (NIKON
COOLSCAN V ED) and vuescan does'nt recognize anymore the scanner.
Before, it did't go , but the scanner was found and "almost"
operating.
It seems, as I see on forum and web, that vuescan use now another
driver and not scanner.o?

Regards.
