While trying to nstall VB6 on vista, I first get a C++ compatibility
warning, click run anyway but the setup reports I only have 22MB fee n
my drive (I have 70 GB free). Anyone see this before? Thanks

Ok, turning of UAC resolved the detected drive space issue. So far,
turning this off fixes most of the issues I've encountered :-)

Brad,

Did you get vb6 installed? On my system it appears to install and then at
the very end I get the message "javasign.dll unable to register itself in
the system registry" then I get the message vb6 was not completed
successfully and the installation shuts down.

Norm, yes, I got it to install, then installed SP6 and it runs fine.
Haven't used it yet, but it fires up fine with no problems.

Hmm, strange that I have been unable to get it to install.

I guess I will have to reinstall Vista, in case something got corrupted, I
had that happen several times with the Beta versions.

Thanks,
Norm

Norm, I never tried to install it pre-RTM, but we have a few more PCs
we have to load here, if it gives us grief, I'll post anything we
find.

Brad,

I think it was because I had the newest version of Java installed. On a
clean install of Vista it did install and said that it needed to install the
Microsoft VM first. It had not mentioned the Microsoft VM before.
