Every time I run this utility, it never works. I have tuneup utilities and
when i run the disk space clean up tool, Vista sp1 backup keeps appearing,
even if i use tuneup to remove it, it seems to do it. then when i run it
again, it keeps coming back. Obviously the sp1 backup is either not being
removed (by either tuneup or vsp1cln) or it is a program glitch. Is there any
other way around this problem, to get rid of the sp1 backup for sure?

Hi, tcs7809.

As they say, Windows Live Search (or Google) is your friend. :^}

A quick search for that filename turned up two promising leads:
VSP1CLN Command-Line Options
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc709655.aspx

Error message when you use the Windows Vista SP1 Files Removal tool
(Vsp1cln.exe) together with the "/?" or "/h" command-line option: "The
parameter is incorrect"
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/949472

If neither of these helps you, there are several other (non-Microsoft) hits
there which might help.

thanks, I have already searched extensivley and found no information on this
problem, every search just says to run the utility. the added command
switches do nothing. i suppose i am just stuck with the backup. perhaps
something is preventing deletion/removal. i comes up to like 1.4 gigs, which
is considerable, and taking up space.
