I am using VS.NET 2002 and I am on 1.1 framework. If i get the new framework
with Generics, I just install this and Dont have to update the IDE. Right?

I don't think so. Are you sure you're using the .NET Framework 1.1 from your
Visual Studio .NET 2002? The 2002 version uses the 1.0, even if you install
a later version.

Yes I am, its just an IDE, i can chose any IDE

SO in theory i jsut update and i can get all the benifits and compile as
usual. I can use any IDE too even SHarpDevelop. So I cant see why not, if
that isnt the case, then theyre in the shhit for monopolizing
