VS open files over web question

Help, I'm trying to open some files over the web using VS.NET Ent. Arch.
These are asp files that my company is using for our portal from Convea.
When I open the files, not a solution or project, I can HTML and JavaScript,
but not ANY asp code.

I can open the very same file over the web using FrontPage 2000 and I can
see the HTML, JavaScript, and the ASP code
just fine.

I've no idea what's causing this. Any help is appreciated.
