vs 2008

I have vs2008, when i opend it up today
I can't get the Solution explorer to show up
Not in any project

Has anybody seen this before

everything is closed [x] out just vs main window
even Ctrl+alt+L does not work
vs2008
version is 9.0.22022.8 rtm
 
I found it, it was hiding below behind the startbar way below, i'll where
the blonde wig all day

Bug: 999999 solution explorer does not appear
Cause: Identity between keyboard and computer
Solution Slap the user

Did you try View/"Solution Explorer" from the menu? or Ctrl+ALT+L

Next time you lose a window like this you can do the following: Press
Ctrl+Tab or Alt+F7 and then use the arrow keys to select the desired window.
You still won't be able to see it but it'll have focus. Then press Alt+-
(hyphen/minus/dash/whatever you like to call it) and then M. Now move your
mouse....

Apparently he had resized the Solution Explorer to be very short and near
the bottom of the window. He also had his IDE partially hidden by the task
bar, and this was preventing him from seeing the very tiny Solution
Explorer.

This is why I A) always run the IDE maximized and B) set my task bar to
Auto-Hide.
