I haven't had any sleep for the last two days since Microsoft had made the
Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2005 available for download. Every time I
try to install them I get an error :1335 and it says about some specific
files are missing Or, the CD/DVD is damaged and the missing files are not
same all the time either. I had tried the installation by burning the .iso
to dvd's and also I tried the Microsoft Virtual CD also. Not only that, I
have tried the CD version and the DVD versions. So, am I the only one having
this problem or others have the same problem.

Please help me out so that I can get some sleep.

Thank you

I just completed the download and installed it with no problems. You might
want to check and make sure your system doesn't have any problems....

I hate lucky guys ;-) I have a Status list of 1 Suspended, 1 Interrupted,
and 1 Active that I have been trying to pick up a connection from for the
last three days.

Well, My computer is very stable and the configuration is:
Processor: P4 - 3Ghz
Memory: 2048MB
Hard Drive 300GB
OS: Windos XP Pro, SP2

I had reformated my computer 3 times and tried the installations on Windows
2003, Windowx XP 64 bit, and Windos XP. Every time, I got an error but, it
is not the same file missing all the time. So, I am really getting
frustrated with it. As you reccomented, I will try the ISO Buster and try
the installation and see if it makes any difference.

Thank you all for you suggestions.

Thanks again.

Alright, I tried the ISO Buster also and no difference. I still get the
error saying about a CAB file is unreadable; the funny thing is that, when I
rerun the set up again it complains about a different file. I used the ISO
Buster to do a scan of the .ISO file to see if all the sectors are readable
and it did not find any problem. So, I guess I will just blame the
Microsoft.

Thank You

Hello.
I downloaded 3.7 GB visual studio 2005 team developer yesterday without
problem, at first sight.
I burned a dvd with isobuster, also without problem.
I launch the installation on a new computer?
All started ok.
But at the middle of setup I received a dialog box saying me to insert the
product dvd !!!
After a few tries without success to pass this point, I syopeed the setup
from the dvd.
After that :
1. I copy the entire dvd on my hard disk
2. I launch the installation.
And all has been setup whithout any problems and visual studio seems working
great, except a little slow on my PIII 800 MHz, 512 MBytes Ram laptop.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
