I am running small business server 2000

I have set up the VPN according to Microsoft Guidelines

I am able to tunnel into my internal mini-wan

However I can not see any other computers on the server,
nor can I ping any other computers on the server by name
or ip.

I also can not ping the LAN card on my server from the VPN
connection.

What am I missing?

Is the VPN adapter getting an IP address? If so, is this IP address on the same subnet as the server's internal IP address? If yes, this will simplify things. What
subnet are you using? Lastly, verify that the client isn't already on the same subnet as the server. For instance, if the server's internal IP is 192.168.1.1 and the
client is behind a NAT router and is also on the 192.168.1.x network, the client will not route traffic to the 192.168.1.x network via the VPN adapter. It must send
this through the local ethernet adapter which will cause a routing problem.

Thank you,
Mike Johnston
