Hi, hope someone can help.
I setting up a VPN for a client so he can access his SOHO remotely with his
laptop.
The following is how I'm going to set it up:
1. All PCs are running XP Home.
2. The SOHO PCs are behind a wired/wireless router with a static IP and pass
through for VPN.
3. All PCs share the same workgroup, user and password, and simple file
sharing is enabled for the appropiate folders on the VPN server.
4. I'm going to configure one of the SOHO PCs as a VPN server for PPTP,
allowing for DHCP assignment and network browsing, and with the appropiate
user and password.
5. I'm going to configure the laptop as the VPN client that will have DHCP
assignment from whatever location he is connecting from to connect to the
static IP on theVPN server.
6. The VPN user is in the Administrators group.
Does anyone see anyone problem here?
TIA,
john
