vpn quit working

I am running XP media center. In June my vpn PPTP connection to the office
quit working. I get error 721. I can ping the server, but it won't accept my
credentials. I checked with the administrator, and he cannot figure out what
is happening. I read that a patch sent out on June 12 may have caused this.
what can I do to get it working?
