Hi, I'm trying to allow our Small Business Server 2000 to accept VPN
connections. I installed ISA Server, ran the "Allow VPN Connections"
wizard, created a vpn connection using the network wizard on my
workstation (XP Pro) and tried to connect. I received an error saying
the remote computer did not respond. I started up Netmon (the MS
network sniffer) on the server and tried it again and I see the
request and response within the capture. It looks as if the server is
receiving the request & giving a response but it doesn't show up in
the ISA logs & the client does not connect. Any ideas why?
misc info:
- I have no problems accessing the server using terminal services &
https.
- The server is behind a router & uses an ADSL connection.
- My workstation has a direct connection to a cable modem.
- NMAP (from the internet) shows port 1723 as being open
- netstat -a (from the server) shows pptp as listening
I suspect the router may be the problem but I don't have physical
access to the server which makes debugging a bit harder.
