I would like to be able to print to my local printer, attached to my home computer, when I am at home but attached to a server via a VPN, but don't know how. I've heard I can set up the printer on the server, but then what port do I tell it to print to, or is this not the correct step? Thanks!

If you're just connecting to another network via VPN, you still have access
to your local printers, etc., so I'm not sure where the problem is.

If you're talking about using remote desktop/terminal services over VPN, you
need to make sure you're using the latest remote desktop client & have
enabled printer redirection so you can see the local printer in the terminal
session. Depending on the kind of printer you have, this can be easy, or it
can be hard.

See http://www.workthin.com/tsp.htm for more info.
