I have a SBS2000 server at the office and an WinXP home computer. I have set up a PPTP connection from the home computer to the office.... and it works... however it is slow, very slow. I am running ADSL at both locations... 1500/256... explains the slow up speed connection huh. When I log on to the office server from home I cannot browse the internet or de-que my home eMail... I kinda like that security feature. Is this normal for the browser to shut down along w/ eMail?

You can keep the Internet link active as your default gateway by
clearing the "use default gateway.." box in the client's connection
properties. This is called split tunnelling. Only traffic for the office
subnet goes through the tunnel. Other traffic goes directly to the Internet.

There is some debate about whether this constitutes a real security hole
in your office network.
