How do permissions work on the Windows 2003 VPN server? I've inherited a
network with a 2003 VPN in place, but have some concerns about what resources
users are able to access on the network.
At present, an authenticated VPN user can access shared folders on servers,
and other workstations -- seemingly based on their domain account
permissions. The computers these users connect from are NOT members of the
domain, and use a completely different user name than their domain account.
Typically, remote users are given VPN access to the network, and then they
access a terminal server, or their XP Pro client using RDP. Most of my users
aren't technically savvy enough to access network resources via UNC path, but
there are a few that are. This could pose a serious problem that I would
like to avoid!
Thanks for your help!
