I require some advice on VPN performance and key things
to check to ensure that I have it correct.

I have a Windows 2000 SBS server on 512/128k ADSL. I used
the ISA'a VPN wizard to configure it for VPN.

The VPN is so slown as to be painfull. It is such, that
it is quicker to use Terminal services over the internet
i.e. mail.domainname.com.au than to use 'ServerName' with
a VPN connection.

Browsing down directories can take from 30+ seconds to
over a minute.

The PC accessing the server via VPN is also on a 512/128k
connection. This PC was added to the domain before being
taken onsite.

What key area do I need to start looking at to ensure
that everything is 100% correct?

Thanks in advance,

Dion

I would recommend to test the speed of the tunnel first. You can do a FTP
transfer for example ... or use ROBOCOPY (Resource Kit)

As soon as you know if the 'speed' is good or bad, then you can investigate
a little bit more. Browsing involves some other things ..

Keep us informed.
