VPN keeps dropping connection

Hi,

I use a VPN connection on my Windows XP Pro installation
at home to connect to the Office network over an ADSL
connection. It connects fine and works for about 30
seconds, but then the connection just disappears again. I
think this coincides with when I put some load on the
connection (i.e. start transferring data over the virtual
network) but am not sure. Any ideas anybody on what might
be causing this?

Hi Luke,

Does the connection get disconnected only if there is load or it disconnects
irrespective of the load?

Check on the RAS Client "Idle time before Hang up" config. If this is set
to 30 seconds then the connection would get disconnected.
