Hello,

In my home office I have two computers connected to the Internet through a
Linksys WRT54G router, both with cables.
One is a desktop running Win2000Pro, the other a laptop running WinXP Pro.
The router is set up according to Linksys documentation and provides a
hardware firewall.
Both computers are running Norton Internet Security and the NIC software
firewall is active on both.
Both computers are members of the same workgroup and are set to allow file
and printer sharing.
I share some folders on both computers, as well as the printer connected to
the desktop.
Everything is working, except when I connect by Cisco VPN to some servers at
our data centers at work.
The shared folders on either of the computers gives a message that it can't
be found.
Also, the laptop can't access the printer.
As soon as I disconnect everything is back to normal.

Any thought on this would be appreciated.

This is default settings. you need to check allow local LAN access. this link may help,

Cisco router firewall
Can't access the VPN client in the LAN after establishing Cisco VPN client ...
For the security reason, Cisco VPN client disables LAN access by design. ....

Thank you Robert,

I tried your suggestion but I can't find the place to set the checkbox to allow LAN access.
The Options menu item just has these choices:
Application Launcher
Windows Logon Properties
Stateful Firewall
Simple Mode
Preferences

I tried Preferences but found nothing about LAN access.

I tried the client help function and found the same advice as in the link, to check the Allow LAN access, but not a word about where to find that checkbox.

BTW, the problem happens only when I access one remote network, the other three connections does not block LAN access.

I am using client version 4.6.00.0049.
