Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has gotten Vista to work with VPN's yet. I have
tried to connect to PPTP and IPSec VPN's, but NOTHING works. It doesn't
even tell me why the connection failed. I look in the event viewer and
there is nothing to be found...

Any insight would be appreciated. All of my VPN connections work with the
built-in XP client or the Cisco Client...

If it helps, get the XP style settings up so you can see the settings more
clearly.

And how is a shortcut to the Ethernet options gonna help?
I could easily access this without cluttering my desktop by clicking Start >
Network > click "Network Center" on the toolbar and click "Manage Network
connections" in the left pane.

Stewart, this article might better help you troubleshoot your VPN problem:

Some people find it easier using native settings in XP - I still find it
easier to do it this way then faff around in the Network Center.
