I have been having major problems with this for a few weeks now. I can
connect to the VPN (or VPN's) that I set up, but I cannot browse their
files. I am just stuck and have been looking on different sites and none of
their help has done any good. Any assistance would be unbelievably helpful
as I'm at my wits end. Thank you for reading my post/semi-rant

It's almost always a WINS server issue since browsing is
a NetBIOS application.

NetBIOS broadcasts only work when there are no routers,
and RRAS/VPNs count as a router (usually).

For routed NetBIOS you need WINS server(s) usually.
(LMHosts files are technically possible but don't go there.)

Make sure the RRAS/VPN server is a WINS client itself.
Also make sure that the DHCP server if any specifies the
WINS server address and node type (H-8 probably) for
the clients.

Go a bit further and make sure that ALL of your clients and
servers are WINS clients and that your WINS servers are
replicating if you have more than one.

All your internal machines need to register and use the same
WINS "database".

Thank you for saying don't go into LMHOSTS, I tried and then screamed).
Thank you :)

WINS is easy if you spend about 20 minutes learning the
theory -- problem is most people spend 10 minutes with
the GUI and assume they understand it.

It really is easy.
