Ok, here in an interesting problem. We are currently running 2003 SBS
configured as a Routing and Remote Access Server. The server is configured
to accept PPTP connections from some of our active directory users and is
working well for the most part. The problem is this. Some of our users are
loosing there VPN connection after about 3 mintues. They are able to connect
and work on the internal network correctly, but the connection stops
communicating at the 3 minute mark an drops all together shortly there after.
This only happens when the client machine is behind a nat device at there
remote location. If the client is not nat'ed the connection works fine.
Also, the problem does not happen for every client that is behind a nat
device.
Any suggestions?
