How can I set up VPN Dialer on my home computer that has
Windows XP Home Edition so I can connect to my company
server that is using Windows 2000 Server?

Thanks,
Dennis

2. Once the Control Panel is opened, select the Network Connections icon.
Double-Click the icon to continue.

3.On the left-hand side of the screen, under "Network Tasks", select "Create
a new connection".

4. Selecting "Create a new connection" will start the New Connection Wizard.
Press "Next" to continue

5. Under "Network Connection Type", select "Connect to the network at my
workplace". Click "Next" to continue

6. Next, select "Virtual Private Network Connection" as the network
connection type. Click "Next".

7. For the Connection Name, type in <any conenction name>. Click "Next" to
continue

8. For the VPN Server Selection, key in the VPN name <server name/IP
Address>. Click "Next" to continue

9. At this point, you have completed the VPN wizard. If you wish to have an
icon placed on your desktop, check the box and click "Finish".

10. Once the wizard has exited, double click the icon created on your
desktop, or select Start, Settings, Network Connections, and <Connection
name>ion name> to launch the VPN connection

11. Click on "Properties" to configure the VPN connection.

12. Under the "Options" tab, make certain that the box next to "Include
Windows Logon Domain" is checked. Click "Ok" to continue.

13. At this point, you should have fields in the VPN connection window for
username, password, and domain. If you wish for the VPN logon information to
be saved on the pc, check the box "Save this user name and password for the
following users". For security purposes, only check "Me only", especially if
the computer in question is used my multiple persons.

Hope this is helpful!

Thanks,

Sharoon
