VPN connection

I have windows 2000 and connect to the internet via AOL
and cable modem.
I want to connect though this to my office via Cisco VPN.
It does not work.
My thoughts are that AOL for cable is a VPN connection so
it blocks the VPN from my office.
Is there a way to fix this.
Thanks

What happens when you try? Any error messages? What does your IT group say?

AOL for cable is not a VPN connection. Its usually a PPPoE connection. If
you get a soho router and let it be the PPPoE client, then VPN will usually
work.

Make sure the soho router DHCP range, usually 192.168.1.x, does not conflict
with a subnet at your work. If it does Cisco VPN clent connects, but does
nothing.
