Hello all,
I have been browsing countless sites and forums this week
to try to establish a VPN and now turn to the community
for help.
Basically my friend and I want to set up a virtual
network so we can see eachother on a LAN for gaming
lobbies.
Lastnight we were able to create a connection (one of us
was a host, one was a client) using the built-in Windows
VPN connection tool. Although it said we were connected,
we were unable to see eachother's computers or files.
We both have a cable connection, we are both being a
Linksys BEFSR41 router. I've got xp Pro, he's got xp
home.
My question, is, what am I missing here? If I set up a
connection waiting for incoming connections on my
machine, and my friend successfully connects to me, how
can i see his computer, and vice versa?
Thanks all,
Jonathan
