Hi all,

I'm trying to setup a VPN connection in Windows XP, i have followed
all instructions and a connection is made. When the connection is made
the dialog says "Checking username and password." and then after some
30 seconds i get an error "619: Unable to connect to the remote
machine, so the port was closed".

I have two seperate VPN connections which give me this error, a third
VPN connection using the Cisco VPN Client works fine. So i think there
is an error in my Windows XP installation. Even a VPN connection to a
device on my local network gives this error!!!!

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Kind regards

It could be the security settings. This search result may help,

VPN error codeReceiving VPN error 619 while connecting to a VPN via SBC .... VPN Error 649 - The account does not have permission to dial-in - Case Study ...

Well, i have searched the entire internet ;) and found no resolution
for this problem. I needed the ability to connect to VPN's so i
decided to reinstall my laptop, and that fixed the problem (off
course).
Thank you for trying to help me out!
