We have a WIN2K server and are using it as a VPN for some
remote users to share files. Is there software or
someway to make it automatically map a network drive when
it connects and then disconnect the drive when they
disconnect. Right now they are using WINXP we had to
walk them through setting up the connection and then
mapping the drive and it took forever. It would be easy
if we could just configure something to do everything on
the fly.

THanks

Take a peek at their user account in AD, is where you will find the key.

Connection Manager is a versatile client dialer and connection software that
you can customize by using the Connection Manager Administration Kit (CMAK)
wizard. You can use CMAK to generate custom profiles.

CMAK provides custom actions to be added at different points during your
connection (pre-init, post-connect, on-disconnect, etc.).

Detailed information on CMAK is provided online at
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/tr...ver2003/proddocs/standard/sag_CMAKtopnode.asp

Hope this helps,
Thanks,
Dinesh.
