Our situation is as following:

-VPN Server (W2k Adv. Serv.) with 2 NIC's, and isn't a DC
-2 DC's with Active directory, in mixed mode
-DNS(primairy, not active dir integrated)/DHCP on first DC

Everything using Service Pack4

AND: we've just migrated the 2 DC's from NT4 to W2k Server SP4 (via
upgrade).
the VPN server already was 2000.

When a VPN client connects while "use default gateway on remote
subnet" is checked, he/she can connect to every resource on our
company's network.
BUT: the client won't have a connection to the internet!

A connection tot the internet is only possible when "use default
gateway on remote subnet" is not checked. But then, it's only possible
for the client to connect to network resource's using IP adresses.
So what's the problem here? cause the DNS is functioning correctly
when using default gateway...
And, when I do a tracert to an IP adress on the network of the
company, it gives me the hostname of every IP!
but these aren't hostnames from the dns (which will be:
hostname.domain) but these are JUST hostname, without a domain-prefix.
When using default gateway, i DO get the correct hostname (including
prefix).

I hope someone can help me with this one...

Tim.

you may want to modify the routing table manually to point to the different
direction.
