VPN Authentication

Hi Guys,

I dont have active directory. is it ok to use the users section in the
control panel to use for authentication with vpn?

Yes it is. That database is called the security accounts manager (SAM)
database, and you can use it to authenticate and authorize VPN users that
both have an account on the machine and that connect directly to that
machine.

If you expand your VPN solution by adding one or more VPN servers, however,
you won't be able to authenticate a connection from VPN server A to the SAM
database on VPN server B. The user account must always be on the server
that the user is connecting to.
