DOes anyone know if it is possible to be able to accept incoming VPN
connections but still be able to access the internet on the same cmputer
with WIN 2K? It would be nice if I could access my home computer files from
work but still be able to surf the web without having to delete the
connection every time.

Thanks

They are quite independent. If it is W2k Pro, you set it up to accept an
incoming connection from Network Connections. An incoming connection should
not affect the Internet connection. Only traffic for the calling machine is
sent through the VPN link.

AS long as I have an incomming VPN connection set up I cannot access the
internet. As soon as I delete the connection, every thing works OK. I
don't know why this would happen...anyone??
Thanks

You mean at the client end? Simply clear the check mark in the "use
default gateway .. " box in the connection properties.

NO..the computer that is accepting the incoming VPN connection. There is
no default gateway checkbox in TCP/IP properties.

Hmmm...So I take it that the VPN connection should not interfere with the
internet? I can't ping anything as long as this connection exists. I have
to manually delete it in order to get to any websites.
