I have a new work laptop running Windows XP Pro on it. I
have a wireless card and when I work from home I can
access the internet fine until I connect to the VPN.
While on the VPN I lose my internet connection. As soon as I disconnect from the VPN, the internet pops right back.

My home
laptop is running Windowns 2000 and allows me to do both
simultaneously. Has anyone run into this?

1. Open the Network Connections folder.
2. Right click the VPN connection and click Properties.
3. Click Networking.
4. Click "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" | Properties | Advanced.
5. Un-check "Use default gateway on remote network".

If the network that you connect to with VPN consists of more than one
subnet, you might need to define static routes in order to access the
entire network. In that case, consult with the network administrator.
