Do you know of a realistic pinball game that is not an install?

Sorry, I don't know of any.

The Visual Pinball executable is available as a download without the
installer and the rest of the package, but that is only intended to be
used to update an existing install. Visual Pinball uses the registry
to store its settings anyway. It would also presumably require various
Visual Basic files.

(The only other free pinball simulator I actually have is Pro Pinball's
"The Web", that's no longer available as a free download and
required installing anyway).

The only one that I know of use to come with Windows 95.
All the files were put into a folder of your choice and then
you clicked on the .exe file to play. No installation.

I still have it archived if you are interested.

Mike, since you usually look for programs that come without install, in
order to keep your registry clean I think, I'm worring if you nevertheless
monitor your first run of such programs, because with Total Uninstaller I've
found that many of them write several keys into the registry, and being
these programs without an uninstaller, those keys will remain there dirting
your registry when you delete the program with its folder.

Just a thought :-)

Ciao,

Thanks. Do you have a URL where I can download it?

I don't recall ever seeing it available for a download. Microsoft gave
it away as an extra, bundled in with Windows 95. It's 2.5 megs
uncompressed. I don't know if you can handle an e-mail attachment that
big. If you want to contact me privatly, we can discuss some way to get
it to you. I can be reached>>>>>>>>
elephant101 at hotmail.com
Or, before you get the complete download, I could send you a pic of what
the game/table looks like. Then you can decide.

Ciao,
Yes, quite right. I tried TUN a year ago, had problems due to age, etc. for me. I
plan to try it again, but here, everything takes longer. Using INctrl 5 and
manually deleting registry keys is a pain.

G'day Mike , here is another way .
If Install is used in Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel when adding
new programs , it will add it to the Add/Remove list .
