Volume up and down

My volume is messed up. Everytime i try to put the volume
up it goes down automatically. I listen to music i put it
up then 2 secs later its at the lowest point! It gets
aggrevating. Please someone help. Anyone know why?

Take a look at the volume control settings of ALL sound utilities; there
may be a conflict.
Check Quicktime, WinAmp, RealAudio, etc. - whatever you have installed.
