Volume Mixer in Vista

When I right click the vo;ume control button on the Vista Taskbar "Open
Volume Mixer" appears at the top of the pop up menu but nothing happens when
I click this. I tried to search for Volume Mixer but the search facility
couldn't find it

You place your cursor on the icon at the task bar: speaker spreading sound
waves.

You Left Click, not right click on it. You will get a popup. There will be a
volume control and the word "mixer" at the very bottom. Left Click on it.
