Volume display

I run PP on a Fujitsu notebook P series. I have a volume control on my
presentation mouse. When I change the volume a volume scale appears on the
screen showing the volume level. If I need to raise or lower the volume
(while a clip is showing during a pp presenatation) this really detracts from
the presentation. Is there anyway to get rid of the volume display? It
seems as if there should be an option for turning the on-screen volume
display off. I spoke with Fujistsu who said that there was no switch. I do
not remember this happening in the past. Any help out there would be
appreciated!

Timmer,

is the volume scale that appears, look just like the regular gray windows
one - or do you think it's one unique to your laptop?

if it looks like a unique one to your laptop, then it's somekind of fujitsu
laptop setting/problem.

Cheers

Which of the Ps do you have? P2120 here. I just had to replace the HDD on it
and reload the OS.

I'm pretty sure that the on-screen volume control display (and the ability to
use "hot-keys" to control volume) depends on a utility program that Fujitsu
installs.

Apparently I haven't installed it yet, because on mine, I don't get the
on-screen display (and in fact the hotkeys don't work), but the volume control
in the system tray does.

If you're feeling bold, you might want to use Task Manager to look through the
processes list for something that looks like the hotkey manager and stop it.

Be sure to save everyhing first and close all of your programs.
