Volume control resets XP Home

XP Home reboots every time the volume control is used. Any ideas what causes
this and what the remedy is?

Go to system properties / Advanced / settings / uncheck auto restart. This
procedure will not fix the problem , but will give you a error code that
will help in the troubleshooting process. Repost with error code for more
help. Jym

Aha. It's the blast virus. It's actually on a friend's PC. She deleted it
but it came back.
