%SystemRoot%\System32\sndvol32.exe (%SystemRoot% is likely the same as
c:\windows)

is the file. Create a shortcut to it. If the program is missing, place
the XP install CD in the drive, click START|RUN and type "cmd" (no quotes)
<enter>. Type "sfc /scannow" (no quotes) <enter>, and the missing file
may be restored.

You might also expand the install file from the CD, using START|RUN|
"msconfig" EXPAND FILE button, or copy it to the above directory (folder)
from another XP installation.
 
Please, I need help with a problem i have i used the
widnows xp disk cleanup and i accidentaly deleted my
volume control program and now i cant control the volume,
i tried using system restore but it didnt work, what
should i do is there someway top download what i have
deleted or to restore it, please help.
