Hi,
I have two DELL computers on which the volume control icon in the system
tray goes missing most of the time (>80% of the time). Its behaviour is
completely erratic.
Can anyone tell me why this might be so, and how I can fix it
Thanks

Hmm..very very sad...still. One great question, asked by millions:

"Why can't India produce atleast *one* genuine fast bowler?"
"What's the MRf pace-foundation doing?
We need two more Srinath's. Otherwise no point in dreaming about the big
event yet.

I'll tell you why. Your pitches are slow and usually poor quality (OTOH many pitches in parks here are concrete - that does not help, but real matches are on good pitches). To develop cricket players one needs good grounds.

If one bowls or bats on goat tracks the ball does amazing things. A bowler doesn't need to learn anything as the ball bounces randomly. Batsman don't learn their craft either. There will be few black sth africians at the top level as they play on goat tracks (if lucky). As your pitches are slow it does not favour quicks as they aren't quick and get belted. You need the kids and youngun playing on good pitches to learn their craft.

All about money. India may need a lot of money as they have a lot of players.

Very true, but Pak's climatic conditions is almost the same as India, and
they can produce good pitches.
So, send us your Perth pitch thru plane and we'll maintain it ;-)

I've heard that BCCI is the richest ever cricket boards, and wondering why
can't they make good pitches. I know they're trying [ as they tried in
MAChidambaram stadium, and made things even worser :( ]

It's not climate but cash. Every suburb need a half decent pitch so you have 80 million kids learning how to play properly. That's a lot of money.

In Australia pitches are not always kept at the ground (esp one day only venues). They move them in by truck. I'm sure you can buy one. I don't know the mechanics of moving a pitch. I always wondered.

Also you doctor your pitches to suit slow bowling.

Buy one for a friend and watch them struggle with 22 yards of dirt and dead grass.

There are a few too many of you. We don't have that many. The world's caught up with our development techniques anyway. Harrass your local government to look after sports grounds.

I can send you John Howard, cricket tragic (he short and deaf) and war criminal. Ok, you call that littering.
