Hello:

I am designing a control box for speakers and a headset (attached to my
computer). I know what to do, but I have not been able to find what
values the volume control potentiometers for the speakers and the
headset earphones should be.

This is the simple circuit (only part of the box content, though):

To ------
spkr |
earph | |
| |<---- from computer
| |
|
|
Ground

Here are the impedances:

Speaker > 10 kohm

Speaker 4 ohm

Earphone 75-150 ohm

Any idea what the potentiometer values for the various
speakers/earphone should be or where I could start looking for
information about it?

Thanks!

What has this got to do with Windows XP?

Since this group is called "...windowsxp.hardware, I thought there was
a connection (harware = speakers/earphones + volume control).
