voice through speakers

Immediatly after performing the audio tuning wizard my voice can now be heard through the speakers and the headset when used. The mike is plugged into the sound card and the "using headphones is not selected in the audio wizard. Nothing I have done so far has had any effect on this problem so far. Can anyone help me fix this and guide me through the process.
Other than this very anoying feature my audio works fine in netmessaging.

I am presuming that the problem is that you hear yourself through your
speakers or headset when you speak into the mic ( regardless of what program
you are using ) -- is that the issue?

If this is the problem, the most likely cause is that the audio mixer is
misconfigured. When this is happening open the mixer and examine the
settings for playback and recording. Do you have the latest drivers for your
sound card?

NetMeeting users but the same applies here)

Or the issue that you hear sounds though both your headset and speakers?
