Unable to use voice in either windows messenger, game
voice or MSN messenger. all my audio equipment working ok.
on using the Sound Haedware Test Wizard the following
error message comes up 'an error occured during Direct
Play Voice set up error code is 0x80040154'. this problem
only started in last two months was working perfectly
previously. Have tried to get help from various sources
but unsuccessful. can someone please help

This is usually caused by a bad audio driver. Since it was working previously, you may be
able to simply rollback the driver if a new one was installed. To do so, click Start, then
Run, type "devmgmt.msc", click OK, then right-click your sound card/device, choose
Properties, then Driver tab, and choose Roll Back Driver to go back to the previous version.
