Greetings Savage,
MSN Messenger uses a slightly different protocol for connecting voice conversations and as
such, if you're using some sort of router or other internet sharing device which may have had
some sort of built-in functionality for Windows Messenger or an incomplete Universal Plug and
Play (UPnP) implementation, it may not longer within MSN Messenger. If this it the case, you
may be able to upgrade your firmware in your router/device that may solve this problem,
otherwise you may need to stick with Windows Messenger for now.
There are of course other possibilities, but first, you may want to check to make sure that
the problem is reproducible with more than just that particular contact (as it may in fact be
their problem).
