VLookUp question

Is it possible to use the VLookUp function to lookup a
cell and pull the formula within that cell instead of the
output of that formula (which is shown when viewing the
worksheet)? Hopefully, my question is clear enough. If
not, please let me know.

=FORMULATEXT(INDEX(C3:C4,MATCH("d",B3:B4,0)))

would retrieve the formula from C3:C4 that corresponds to the position of
"d", the lookup value, in B3:B4.
