Sorry for the repeat question (as I am sure it has been answered) but I am
having trouble sorting through threads. Below is my problem/question.

I had the following data, for example in a spreadsheet (material, style,
price)

A B C
Carpet My My My $1000
Carpet Sweet Escape $3000
Carpet Red Bud $0

I need to chart on a graph, what data in Column B shows up when a $ value in
Column C is present (<$0). The text in Column B is not from a validation list
and can vary by thousands of different style names so I CAN'T type the exact
words that will appear in Column B into the formula. I need the formula to
search and bring over whatever shows up IF there is a $ amount associated
with that row.

I need my bar graph to plot, for carpet, the number of times "Red Bud" shows
up in my spreadsheet, for example...or any other text that is put in Column B.

HELP PLEASE!!! I am going crazy over this.... :) :)

Hi,
do insert , pivot table, pivot table chart, then select where you want the
information , what is going to columns and what to rows, from there you will
see an arrow at the top of the amount, click there and select only what is
less than 0

Hi,

0. Make a chart using all of your data, then
1. put your cursor in the data and choose Data, Filter, Auto Filter
2. open the filter drop down in the first cell of column C and choose Custom
3. from the first drop down pick "greater than" and in the second box enter
0 and click OK.
