VLC media files cannot visualise in WMM

WMM VLC media files

Hi,
I import my VLC media files to create a video and although i can hear the
file, there is no image. Can anyone help?

VLC player can play a large number of video formats. What is the file's name that you
wish to see in MovieMaker?

If you can only hear its audio, there is a possibility that the video format is not
compatible with MovieMaker

This usually means you haven't got the DiVX codec installed.

In that case, you need the (free) DiVX codec. You can get it here:

http://www.divx.com/divx/windows/

You just need the codec--not all the other stuff they try and push onto you.

A useful utility is GSpot, a free utility that analyzes videos and tells you
what codecs you have/need to play them:

http://www.headbands.com/gspot/

OK, done. What now? I´ve tried to open the same files and nothing different
happens.
Do i need to do anything with this Divx codec now that it´s been installed?

I was going to say that a reboot might help but I see from your next message
that the problem is solved...
