Visuall C++ Runtime error

I am having a problem with IE 6. When I start up I get an
error box reading:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error
Program: C:\Programfiles\Internetexplorer\Iexplore.exe
Abnormal program termination

I am on cable broadband through a different cable company
since I moved. Never had this problem when running
through the previous cable broadband connection. I can't
find anything about how to correct this. Does anyone have
any thoughts?
