Visual Studio.NET problems

Can anyone give me suggestion on what to do regarding a
couple of problems I have wit VS.NET.
1. I have a 900MHZ AMD Athlon processor with 720MB of Ram.
I have VS.Net on WIN2000 Pro and WIN XP Pro and get the
following:

Problems encountered:

1. When I start VS.Net with a new project I get the
following error in the MDE window: ExternalException:
generic error occurred in GDI+

2. When I try to rename the form1.vb form I receive the
following error: OutOfMemoryException: Out of Memory.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. I am trying
to take Intro to Client/Server Programming and Web Based
Data Design over the internet and this is causing a
problem.

Can you tell us a little more? Have you tried removing both VS and the
Framework and reinstalling? Did you install the Service Packs etc.

If you can give me a walk through for what is going on we'll try to help
out.
