Make a long story short, can I run .Net 2.0 and SQL 2005 and still use VS
2003. I understand I will not get all the functions I just need SQL server
and I dont see a point in buying an old version.

Assuming I got your question correctly, .NET 2.0, SQL 2005 and VS 2003
(which uses .NET 1.1) all can co-exist without any problems.

If your question is whether VS 2003 can use .NET 2.0 instead of 1.1 then the
answer is 'No'. VS 2003 will only use v1.1 even if you have installed v2.0.

You understood my question perfectly. I assumed your answer was accurate but
before I placed an order for SQL 2005 I wanted to make sure that everything
would still work even though it will clearly only be 1.1 functionality.
